Saturday May 8th

Carnival of the Animals

The Festival will celebrate Mother's Day by presenting Camille Saint-Saëns' ever-popular Carnival of the Animals complete with narration by Jean Marchand. As well, Franz Schubert's beloved Piano Quintet The Trout will be performed by one of Canada's greatest pianists, Anton Kuerti. The Festival will also pay homage to Alexander Brott through a performance of his high spirited classic Critic's Corner, a media caricature for string quartet and percussion. As a family outing, this program is an ideal way to celebrate Mother's Day. Admission is free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult.
